  • Voluntary Work Experience

    Hachette UK offers work placement opportunities to many individuals every year. Placements take place in a variety of functions (such as editorial, design, production, publicity, marketing, sales and rights) and across all our divisions.   
    We are committed to ensuring that your time with us provides you with some of the valuable skills and experience needed to pursue a career in publishing. 
     

     

During the course of your placement we aim to provide the following:
·               General information on the publishing industry and how it operates; on the specific company and the division in which the placement is taking place.
·               An insight into the function of the department in which the placement is taking place.
·               The opportunity to undertake a range of tasks typically associated with entry level roles in publishing.
·               Advice and help in developing practical skills to aid your future career in publishing.

Our work experience placements last for a maximum of two weeks and are unpaid however we may offer reasonable travel expenses to get to the office.
