Hachette UK titles take top spot in the UK and Ireland20/01/2010

Hachette titles have this week taken pride of place on bestseller lists both in the UK and Ireland.

In the UK, Orion and Little, Brown Book Group titles have claimed the top four places in the Nielsen Bestseller list.

Harlan Coben’s Long Lost (Orion) takes the number one slot, while Stephenie Meyer’s indomitable Twilight series takes second place with Eclipse, (Little, Brown Book Group) in the number two spot, followed closely by Egyptian Adventure Sphinx by T.S. Learner (Little, Brown Book Group) and Sarah Waters’ chilling novel The Little Stranger (Little, Brown Book Group).  For the full list, click here.

In Ireland, Hachette have seen great achievements this week in the Nielsen Ireland Bestseller lists, far and away taking the overall number one bestseller spot with Cynthia Owen’s Living With Evil (Hachette Ireland) taking seven times the sales of the category's number two.

Patrick Holford’s Ten Secrets of 100% Healthy People (Piatkus) also charts at number nine, while in Paperback Fiction, Fiona O’Brien’s No Reservations (Hodder & Stoughton) has gone straight in at number four, while in Original Fiction, Ciara Geraghty’s Becoming Scarlett (Hachette Ireland) has climbed to number three.

In hardback non-fiction, Rob Hume's Bird: The Ultimate Illustrated Guide to the Birds of Britain and Europe (Mitchell Beazley) is at number nine while in Children's, Stephenie Meyer continues to do indescribably well and occupies places one to four.
