The Richard and Judy Book Club 200920/01/2009

The Brutal Art by Jesse Kellerman (Sphere), The Luminous Life of Lilly Aphrodite by Beatrice Colin (John Murray), December by Elizabeth H Winthrop (Sceptre) and The Bolter: Idina Sackville – The Woman who Scandalised 1920s Society and became White Mischief’s Infamous Mistress by Frances Osbourne (Virago) have been selected for The Richard and Judy Book Club for 2009.

The Brutal Art is a brilliant and thought-provoking thiller that flips between past and present and is reminiscent of The Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfeld (Headline), winner of Richard and Judy’s Book Club in 2007.

The Brutal Art will be the featured book on Richard and Judy (Watch TV 2pm and 6pm) on Wednesday 21st January.

The Bolter: Idina Sackville – The Woman who Scandalised 1920s Society and became White Mischief’s Infamous Mistress by Frances Osbourne (Virago) will be discussed on Richard and Judy on Wednesday 25th February. 

The Luminous Life of Lilly Aphrodite is set in Berlin between the wars and follows the life of an orphan and her rise to movie stardom.  It will be the featured book on Richard and Judy on Wednesday 11th March.

Elizabeth H Winthrop's December will be featured on Wednesday 18th March.
